Aww... BabyCam iPhone App

The BabyCam iPhone app is something that all new moms will definitely appreciate! When your child is growing, you definitely want to capture all of the candid moments available, and now you have that convenience with the quality of pictures taken by your iPhone. This app works in a special way because it has a sound button to play songs, drums, bells, and even doorbells to catch the attention of your child.

We all know how difficult it can be to get your baby to smile for the camera in a professional picture, but now you have the opportunity to interact with them to catch their attention for the simpler moments in life. You can also use the QuadCamera app to take up to eight continuous pictures of your child in motion, which is perfect when they are playing, running, or swinging on a swing. These are the moments that your child is going to remember, and you can easily upload them to your computer to e-mail to family members and friends! This is far more advanced than the days of an old photo album, and you can capture your child's earliest years easily and beautifully with this handy iPhone app.

Shape Up With This iPhone App

When it comes to getting in shape for the holidays, it can often require quite a bit of motivation on your part. And how are you even supposed to find the extra time between holiday parties, family gatherings, and happy hour after work with friends who have come into town? One of the easiest ways to get your butt in gear is to use the FitnessBuilder app on your iPhone!

This is a handy exercise app that has images, videos, and pre-planned workouts. This is something that is going to help you out if you only have 20 minutes to spare per day, and it will also give you the option to tone up within just a few days before the new year. This is a more expensive app at almost $20, but it is worth it because it is like investing in your own personal trainer. One of the main motivating factors of using this app is that it is incredibly convenient. You can carry it around with you anywhere you are, and you can also estimate how many calories you have burned over the holidays. This is something that will keep you in shape, even when visiting your family for Christmas!

Does Facebook Pose a Risk To You?

Unless you have been under a rock for the past several years, you probably have a profile on Facebook. You have also probably found that your aunt, grandmother, or third-grade teacher has a profile as well and wants to be your friend. Facebook is an incredibly convenient social media website, and you have even more opportunities to use it if you have one of the many Facebook iPhone applications available to you. This offers you the convenience of updating your profile on the go, where ever you are at.

Right now, there are 300 million users on Facebook, and that includes people from all walks of life. There are a few risks posed to you on Facebook, and one of them is who you accept as your friends. If you have accepted friends from work or even your boss, then you may slip up and write an update about how you hate your job and your boss, only to find out that you are in trouble at work the next day. Oops! On that note, it's also important to protect your privacy, with no-brainer information like your address or credit card number, to keep yourself safe on your profile.

Christmas Party Planning Tips

Christmas is upon us, and if you have family or friends coming over for the holidays, then you may either be excited or pulling your hair out due to the stress. I decided to look up a bunch of different Christmas party planning tips on my iPhone so that it can make your gathering that much less stressful. One of the biggest suggestions is to prepare simpler dishes so that cooking does not overtake your entire day.

Consider making a variety of different snacks for your family on Christmas Eve, or ask everyone to bring a different dish. One very popular and easy dish to make for Christmas that will make you look like a cooking pro is mussels with white wine sauce. You can easily pick up mussels already prepared from the grocery store, and you can cook them over pasta with a white wine and lemon butter sauce. There are many different easy appetizer ideas available for Christmas, but make sure that you feel confident in the dish that you are preparing so that it doesn’t go wrong and ruin your holiday party. Christmas is a wonderful time to spend with your family and friends, and there is no reason to stress out about planning your party or holiday gathering!

Do You Still Like Star Wars?

I found some interesting information when I was looking up the best Christmas gifts for 2009 on my iPhone. Are you ready? If you are still a fan of Star Wars collectibles and toys, then you may be happy to know that they are very high on the list for Christmas 2009. Even better, since so many people now have devices like the iPhone where they can directly shop online from their mobile device, online shopping is more popular than ever!

Very high on the list for the best Christmas gifts for 2009 is still Star Wars toys and collectibles, which may be perfect for the Star Wars lover in your life this year. If you are shopping online, make sure to search for Star Wars promotional codes so that you can get a discounted deal on your purchases. Many large online retailers also offer bargains for these collectibles, which makes them a perfect steal since they are often hard to find in store locations. Instead of scouring the mall and trying to find something for the geek or Star Wars lover in your life (only kidding!), it is much better to look online on your iPhone for some amazing bargains.

Your iPod Improves Your Fitness

If you are hoping to improve your fitness level and stay in shape for the holidays, then you better get your iPod full of amazing music! Recent studies have shown that listening to the right music will make your workout more efficient. Since you can expect to be ingesting thousands of calories on Thanksgiving day, you can also take preemptive measures against this potential weight gain by using music to help you work out smarter.

It seems that most recently, Nike and Apple have been working together to promote this combination regarding music and exercise. According to research, it seems that runners in London who were running a half marathon enjoyed listening to their iPods or live music when they were running. However, it is important which songs you choose for your iPod because they do need to be motivating and have musicality, association, rhythm response, and cultural impact. This basically means that you need to choose something that will keep you motivated and pumped up when you're exercising, and it is also helpful if it is a current and popular song that you like. The runners in the study also performed better when the rhythm of the song matched their cadence or heartbeat.

Budget Better With Your iPhone

Life can get pretty hectic if you are trying to budget for yourself, let alone your entire family! It's time that you get smart and start budgeting with the Spend app from your iPhone. Obviously, the iPhone is a convenient handheld device that you can take with you anywhere on the go. The point of the matter is to start using it when you are spending money on entertainment, grocery shopping, or even going out to dinner.

Relaxing With PDFs For The iPhone

I have just recently gotten more into reading as an adult, and I have Harry Potter to thank for it. Don't judge me! I always read in middle school and high school, but as an adult I was more into TV and video games. However, I recently went on vacation, and pretty much all I did was relax by the pool in the sun. What a tough life!

I decided that my best bet was to download a bunch of different PDFs of books that I would like to read. I actually had the opportunity to finish the last Harry Potter book in the series, which was really exciting for me. I also downloaded a few other books that I was interested in, and it really is the best way to spend your time, especially since you can even read your iPhone when it is getting dark outside. The only thing that you have to watch out for is water splashing on it, or even a light rain or drizzle. As long as you keep your iPhone protected, then you are completely good to go. This is the best vacation tool for relaxing and recharging your battery! I highly recommend it.

Lady Gaga on My iPod

Maybe I am a little bit behind the times, but I have finally gotten to the point where I am a huge Lady Gaga fan. First of all, I did see her last season on American Idol when she performed. I actually had no idea who she was, but nowadays, all you have to do is turn on the radio, and you will hear five songs in a row from her.

I decided to take matters into my own hands, and I downloaded her latest album onto my iPod. Normally, I am the type of person that only likes pop hits that I've heard before on the radio. I have no idea why that is, but I guess they just stick in my head, and I end up preferring them. I decided to take the time to delve into her album, and I really liked what I heard! I am sad that she is canceling her tour with Kanye, but it seems that they may not have been a good duo anyway. I guess I will have to wait for her to tour on her own because I really would love to see her in concert. For anyone who likes some of her pop hits on the radio, I strongly recommend you download the album!

Potential iPod Volume Restrictions

It seems that Europe is now cracking down on iPods to regulate their volume. They are setting out regulations to govern how loud iPods can be, and they will require a much lower volume than before. This is a new policy that will require all iPods to have a default maximum volume that does not exceed 80 dB. This is supposed to be a very loud sound, and anything that is over that can be dangerous and damaging to the hearing.

Many iPods currently have the potential to go from 115 to 125 dB. Just to put it in perspective, the noise that you would hear on a busy street is 80 dB. 120 to 130 dB is equivalent to the sound of an airplane taking off, which could severely damage your hearing if you listen to an iPod at that volume on a regular basis. This does not mean that you will not be able to exceed that volume restriction, but it just means that the manufacturers will have to create default volumes on the devices to keep the user's hearing from being damaged. However, customers also have the option to disable that default and turn up their volume once again. At your own risk!

Katy Perry On Your iPod

I have to admit that I am a sucker for cheesy pop music, but I can't seem to get into Katy Perry for some reason. I do like upbeat pop songs, but her's seem a little bit lame and unrealistic to me. I do have to qualify that with the fact that it did not stop me from downloading some of her songs onto my iPod, but I still am not sure how I feel about them. If you like Katy Perry, then you definitely may like to know that she grew up singing in church, and she got her musical talent from Christian gospel.

That's pretty interesting for someone who sang a song called "I Kissed a Girl". I guess she has changed quite a bit since then! Now she is a number one artist, but oddly enough, the first album that she ever released was also in Christian gospel. Her music is much different now, and you can pretty much see her everywhere - MTV, award shows, you name it. I know many people love her and probably have all of her music on their iPods, but for myself, the jury is still out. Are you a Katy Perry fan?

Stay at a Healthy Weight

I was looking up some health information on my iPhone, and I found out that you really do have to eat breakfast to lose weight. That is something that many people may already know, but I never was into eating breakfast. I normally will roll out of bed and try to make it to work on time. I will have a cup of coffee to get me going, but by the time I realize that I am hungry, it's already about 10:30 in the morning.

I was looking at this blog on my iPhone that said that you do need to eat breakfast on a regular basis to stay at a normal weight. I do try to stay in shape, but it turns out that eating a normal breakfast daily is a huge part of that. If you do sleep for eight hours at a time, your body needs to be fueled by the time that you wake-up. If you skip breakfast, then your body has no energy to go through the day, and it will send it into starvation mode. It's also important to eat something that is healthy, like a whole-grain cereal, instead of just a sugary doughnut.

Helpful Workout iPhone App

This is actually not another iPhone fitness app because believe me, I have downloaded plenty of them. I do get Women's Health magazine on a regular basis, and I did see an advertisement for their new iPhone app. This app is called Women's Health Workouts. It has 120 different exercises, and you can use them all to create your own fitness plan.

I will tell you the reason that this app is so appealing to me. I really like working out, but many times, I have to take a bulky fitness book with me to the gym so that I can see all of the exercises that I need to do. The only other option is to hire a personal trainer, which can get pretty expensive. This is the perfect app because it is like having your own personal trainer within your tiny iPhone. The exercises are really clear and easy to do because they have pictures and detailed instructions. There also is a little feature within the app that allows you to track all of your progress. I am absolutely loving this app because it is helping me mix up my workouts so that I'm not bored anymore, especially since there is so much to choose from!

Duckhunt On The iPod touch

Does anyone else miss the old game Duck Hunt? I definitely do, and I remember playing it on my Nintendo all of the time when I was a kid. Now I can relive those wonderful days anytime that I like because there is a Duckhunt application for the iPod touch. This is something that I absolutely adore, and I am constantly getting made fun of by my friends because I play it all the time.

I don't know what it is about throw back Nintendo games, but they make me feel so nostalgic. That's why I am all about this app, and I want to spread the word because it is so fun to play old Nintendo games on your iPod touch. This game has not really changed much because you still pretty much spend your time shooting at a duck or clay disks, but it's still something that I enjoy. Old Nintendo was really simple, which is something that I miss about it when I play other complex video games. The newer video games obviously have awesome features, but I still miss the simplicity of Nintendo because it reminds me of my childhood. For anyone else who feels the same way, check out this app!

iPod Spa Music Playlist

One of my favorite things about my iPod is how incredibly useful it is. My sister works as an esthetician at a spa, and she was talking to me about how she wants to get some spa music to play while she is doing treatments on her patients. Of course, the music definitely needs to be very soothing and relaxing because it is for the spa environment. Her and I put our heads together, and we ended up creating a wonderful playlist with soothing iPod music that she could play during her spa treatments.

She went so far as to hook up a small iPod dock in her treatment room so that she could easily play all of her music. This is much more advanced than many estheticians because I have gone to several spas where they simply have a boombox with a CD of nature music. This is much classier than that, and all she had to do was get an iPod dock and fill her iPod up with a playlist of soothing songs. She chose music like Dido, Sade, and Brian Eno. She also downloaded different nature sounds, like water, waves, and wind, so that it could be soothing and relaxing for her clients.

Heroes Star Has a Dramatic Change!

I feel a little bit behind on the times because I have just recently gotten into the show Heroes. This is a fantastic show that I am completely addicted to and have been downloading to watch on my iPod video. It is something that keeps me hooked, and I always watch it whenever I have any downtime, which is usually in class if I finish my assignment early. I am still working on finishing season one so that I can catch up, but I am nowhere near up to speed.

I love the character that Ali Larter plays in Heroes because she has such complexity and depth in her role. It's always fun to watch girls kick butt, so whenever I am watching Heroes on my iPhone, I absolutely love watching her. She was recently spotted out and about with a dramatically different hair color - fire engine red! I'm wondering how this is going to fare in her starring role on Heroes, especially since she was a sassy blonde for so long. However, the producers probably know all about this, and for all I know, it has something to do with the plot. Don't tell me anything because I am still on season one!

Black Eyed Peas On My iPod

I was very surprised at how much I loved the newest Black Eyed Peas song that I heard on the radio. I had to go home immediately and download it onto my iTunes so that I could put it on my iPod. The funny thing was that when I heard this song on the radio, I didn't even know that it was the Black Eyed Peas! In the spirit of things, here are some fun facts about the Black Eyed Peas:

The Black Eyed Peas started in LA, and there are four members within the group. They had their first album in 2003, and it was a huge hit that sold 20 million albums all over the world. They are only 1 out of 11 groups that have had the number 1 and number 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 charts simultaneously. Their newest singles are Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling. If you have turned on your radio lately, then you will probably know that both of these singles have been topping the charts for 25 weeks at a time, which is longer than any other artist has ever achieved in history. To mix it up, download some of Fergie's solo music to your iPod!

Going On a Cruise!

One of the best moves that I have made this year is planning my vacation for the fall. Of course, this means that I sadly did not have much time off this summer, but when the rest of my friends are putting their nose to the grindstone this fall, my boyfriend and I will be going on a cruise! I feel absolutely overworked and ready for a vacation, which is why I keep obsessively looking up the Carnival Cruise website on my iPhone. The iPhone is a truly amazing device because it allows me to be able to check out websites whenever I want, especially if I have some downtime at work.

Anyhow, I am finding out all that I need to know about our cruise ship, including the fact that they have unlimited sushi in a customized sushi bar! I also have taken the time to book some extra activities for when we dock in Mexico, meaning that we will be able to swim in a beautiful pool by the ocean and go snorkeling. I am just looking forward to some amazing fun in the sun and doing absolutely nothing at all for five whole days in Mexico!

How Do I Train My Puppy?

I am so happy to say that I just got a new dog, but that leaves me with figuring out how to train her. Puppies are difficult to deal with, especially if you don't know what you're doing. Still, they are so worthwhile because they are so adorable! I'm no Caesar Milan, but I definitely try to watch the Dog Whisperer show to get some insight on training a dog properly. I have a really bad track record with dog training because I have had several badly behaved dogs in my lifetime.

I decided that the best thing for me to do was to look up some dog training tips directly on my iPhone so that I could practice them whenever my puppy steps out of line. The main thing that I was concerned about was keeping her from going to the bathroom in the house, so the website that I looked up on my iPhone told me that I need to take her out as often as possible so that she starts to understand that is where she uses the bathroom. So far it is working pretty well, and I'm just hoping that I will get her trained properly to keep my house clean!

Glee Soundtrack For Your iPod

If you have not yet noticed Glee on Fox, then you are definitely going to love checking out this musical comedy on primetime TV. First of all, it is going to have an amazing soundtrack that you can download to your very own iPod. So far, we have seen Gold Digger, Don't Stop Believin', and a few other hits. I personally love the musical aspect of this show, which was pretty unexpected to me.

Most of the time, you see musical theater as being pretty boring, but this show gives you the juicy high school elements that you love to watch as a guilty pleasure. This show has all of the stereotypes, the jock, the snotty cheerleader, the dorky smart girl, and even the gay kid in the closet. I can predict that all lovers of the show are going to really enjoy downloading the soundtrack to their iPods because it is a fun twist on many classic hit songs. It is also commendable that they take the time to incorporate such hip music into this show, which is musical theater like I have never seen before. Maybe if high school really was like this, then more people would join the Glee club!

Protect Your Device With an iPod Case

For any iPod lover, it is so obvious that iPod cases are a necessity, especially since your beautiful iPod device can scratch so easily. I'm sure that you have noticed by now that your screen, click wheel, backplate, or even faceplate can get easily scratched, which is why it is important to invest in a case. There are so many iPod accessories available, but I am a big fan of getting an iPod case so that you can protect your device from any outside damage.

Most people do carry their iPod or iPhone in their purse or pocket, where it has the opportunity to jingle around and get scratched against many other items, causing physical damage. Especially for people who have iPhones and iPod touches, it is necessary to get some kind of case to protect the outer screen so that you don't break it. Seriously, a little bit of effort will go a long way, especially if you want to extend the life of your device. Many people make the mistake of not putting an investment into their devices, and then they will only have to end up buying a new one or getting the faceplate or backplate replaced from serious damage. Make life easier on yourself and get a case for your iPod!

Phone Calls From The iPod Touch

I am all about the use of my iPod touch, and I recently read this pretty interesting blog discussing how to make phone calls from an iPod touch. I had no idea that was something that you could actually do, especially since it wasn't technically an iPhone. The main reason that I didn't get an iPhone was because I do not have AT&T, and I feel like I have signed my soul away to Verizon. I would like to make a tangent and say how I absolutely hate how cell phone companies have you locked into a contract for two years at a time. It's truly not fair, especially if new technology like the iPhone comes out, and I can even use it.

Anyway, I did read this blog about how you can jailbreak your iPod touch so that you can make phone calls from it directly. This was an option that I considered, but I was really worried about damaging my device. You also do have to get head phones that are compatible to the iPod touch to make this phone call. It seems like a pretty simple process, but I guess I am just nervous about breaking my device. I think that I will do a little research to find out how safe this actually is...

iPhone Blog Time

I have always been an avid reader, and now I am addicted to reading blogs on the Internet. All of my friends call me a bookworm because I always have my nose in some kind of book, but since I have gotten my iPhone, the whole story has changed. I have a bunch of different blogs that I subscribe to on an RSS feed, and I'll usually spend several hours at night reading and catching up on them all.

All of the blogs range on a variety of topics, including environmental issues, fashion, and even family oriented. I don't necessarily have a family yet, but I do like to read about parenting issues in case I ever want a family of my own. Anyway, it's pretty obvious that I just like to read on a variety of topics to make sure that I am well-informed, which is something that I love about the Internet. One of the greatest things about my iPhone is the fact that I can catch up on these blogs anytime of the day whenever I want. Most often, I will read blogs from my RSS feed on my iPhone when I'm waiting for class to start because I do spend a lot of time on campus. So convenient!

Drink Milk For Healthy Teeth

Does that sound too good to be true? I was looking up some information on my iPhone about teeth whiteners because I want my smile to be pearly white, when I came upon this interesting research. Apparently, if you drink milk on a regular basis, that can help to prevent tooth decay, which keeps your teeth healthier and whiter as a result.

Some teeth whiteners are controversial because people claim that they do strip away the enamel on the outside of the teeth, which can weaken the teeth as a whole. However, they do work to whiten your teeth for a while, but relying on dairy regularly within your diet will help to keep your teeth looking better overall. Teeth that had been exposed to milk within this study had less of their enamel eroded than the teeth that had been exposed to other liquids, like diet soda and orange juice. Obviously, many of these drinks are acidic and can compromise the enamel on the teeth, which is why it is great to rely on milk to make sure that your teeth healthy and beautiful. That's definitely something to smile about, and I'm grateful that I found this helpful information for the health of my teeth on my iPhone!

iPod Personal Fitness

Using my iPod when I'm out and about is one of my favorite things by far, and I am lucky enough to live in an area that has a lot of natural parks. Don't get me wrong, when it is the summertime, I definitely have to plan my hikes early in the morning so that I don't die of heat stroke, but it is still worthwhile. I have found myself getting in much better shape as a result of using my iPod to motivate me when I'm hiking, and I also get to bring my dog with me too.

I tried to get my girlfriend to come with me, but she prefers to do those girly types of exercises like Yoga and Pilates. Oh well, to each his or her own, I guess. Either way, using my iPhone to motivate me to get outdoors is something that has helped both my dog and I get in incredible shape. I have to admit that I was one of those guys that was totally guilty of sitting on the couch and playing video games all the time, so those extra pounds just crept up on me. Using my iPhone to work out and hike with was the perfect solution for me!

iPhone Shopping On The Go!

I am definitely someone who is into clothes and fashion, and I have to tell you that my iPhone is always my go to device when I am out shopping. Now, I know that most girls like to go out in a group of friends and shop all day long, but that is not me at all. I am the type of person that takes shopping and fashion very seriously, so I often like to go by myself. The reason for this is that I want to try on the clothes that I like and not have anyone hold me back because they do not want to go to the stores that I want to go to. It sounds petty, I know, but it is much better for me in the long run.

I always use my iPhone when I go out shopping because I can have the salesperson take a picture of me in whatever I want to buy, and then I can look at it on myself to decide whether or not I like it. The iPhone does take clear quality pictures, so it is perfect to be my own personal fashion consultant. A wonderful portable shopping tool!

Classy iPhone Wallpaper

I have always been a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn, may she rest in peace. She was a legend in her time, and almost anyone can appreciate the classic movie Breakfast At Tiffany's. This is when she brought culture to the little black dress, and she also made every woman in America want to look like her. The interesting thing was that this was the time that stars in the 50s and 60s were shapely, like Marilyn Monroe, and she brought beauty to being slim and chic. This is a legendary movie, which is why I was delighted to see it available as an option for my iPhone wallpaper.

You better believe that I snatched it up right away because she is one of my favorite actresses of all time. This gives me something fun to look at whenever I am out and about answering my phone or texting. I know that we are still inspired by her beauty and style, even 40 years later, which shows the importance of her as an icon within this century. On top of that, not only is she talented, but she is beautiful to look at. I love to copy her style as much as possible, including the classic little black dress!

iPhone College Help

One great iPhone app to keep an eye out for if you are a college student is called Studiez Pro. This is an application that is geared toward students at the university level, and it is a helpful study tool so that you can focus and organize your lessons, lectures, and labs. This application is helpful for homework, and it only costs $2.99. Right now, this is the most popular paid application relating to education within the entire app store.

This is something that is recommended for all college students, especially since it can be difficult to organize all of your school work when you're in college. What better way to do it than with the help of your iPhone? iPod nano Commerical Star Feist

How much do you know about Feist? She sings an awesome song called "One, Two, Three, Four", and it actually was on an iPod nano commercial some time ago. Of course, it is a catchy little tune, and I myself am a fan. All of her other music is equally great, so it's worth giving it a shot on your iPod playlist. Oddly enough, she also has guest starred on Sesame Street, which is always fun to watch. "One, Two, Three, Four" was on her 2007 album The Reminder, and you even have the opportunity to download it as a ringtone to your iPhone. The options are endless!

Feist is originally from Canada, and Feist happens to be her last name. She now is a successful solo artist, and she was a previous member of an indie band called Broken Social Scene. In 2008, she won five different music awards in Calgary, so she is a Canadian favorite by far. The iPod nano commercial featured her song, and that caused it to become popular in the United States and hit number 8 on the charts. This is a big deal for any type of indie musician, especially seeing their song featured in the top 10 on the charts. Go, Feist!

iPhone Movie Application Gives Bathroom Guidance

I can tell you that I definitely spent the weekend enjoying a great movie, which was Inglorious Bastards. If you have not yet seen it, then you definitely need to rush yourself to the theater to get in on this action. Beware that it is very violent, but I think that you can expect that from a Tarantino movie. This movie is another work of art by the master himself, Quentin Tarantino.

While you are enjoying this movie, make sure that you have this handy iPhone application with you to guide you in when you need to go to the bathroom. This application is called RunPee, and it is perfect for anyone who can't make it through a movie completely because of their small bladder. This will allow you to choose any movie that is currently showing in the theaters, such as Inglorious Bastards, and it will then give you the best time to go to the bathroom so that you do not miss any key parts of the movie. It will also provide you with a short rundown of what you missed in the movie when you were out. This is a useful application for any movie-goer, especially since Inglorious Bastards is two and half hours long!

Fragile iPhone Screens

I think that so far I am one of the lucky ones, but I cannot tell you how many times I have seen friends drop their iPhones or iPod touches and crack the screens! Now, don't get me wrong - an iPhone is an amazingly useful device, and I am totally in love with mine. However, I was reluctant to get one in the first place because I know that I am such a clumsy person. In fact, I don't even want to tell this story, but I did drop one of my older cell phones in the toilet, which totally destroyed it.

What happened was, I had it in my purse, so when I went to leave the stall of the bathroom, it somehow flipped out and went into the toilet. Completely tragic, but I was scared about the same fate for my expensive iPhone device. Luckily for me, my iPhone is still completely intact (knock on wood), but you better believe that I am being so careful with it. I have had about four or five friends crack the screens on their iPhones and need iPhone repair. Luckily, it is fairly inexpensive, but I am doing my best to keep the screen of my device protected!

Must Have iPhone Wallpaper

Are you also a crazy Grey's Anatomy freak? Then that makes several of us, and I can tell you myself that I am so happy that I found this wallpaper for my iPhone! It is always fun to choose a personalized wallpaper that you have the pleasure of looking at on a daily basis, but the only little drawback is that this Grey's Anatomy wallpaper makes me want to daydream about the show and think about watching it every time I see it. That is not very productive when you are at work, but it still is a fun wallpaper have.

I am an enormous fan of this show, and I have even taken the time to watch all of the seasons in succession. No, I am not completely lame with no life, but it was like watching a fun back-to-back movie for weeks and weeks on end. I finally ended up seeing the season finale of season 5, and I am freaking out to find out what happens! I know I may be a little bit behind on the times, but I didn't want to watch the season finale until I had caught up on all of the previous episodes. I am an addict.

My New Fave On My Playlist

I am the type of person that watches VH1 and other music channels, so judge me if you want, but I always get the heads up on new artists on the rise. One of my new favorites that is starring on my iPod playlist currently is Charlotte Sometimes, who has fun and interesting girly music like I have never heard before. She is from Pennsylvania, and she actually took her name from a children's book written in 1969.

Her debut album is called Waves and the Both of Us, and it is said to sound like a mix of Fiona Apple, Jeff Buckley, and Billie Holiday. The album is supposed to tell a story of all of the different currents that run through our lives, some being dramatic and some being uplifting. Charlotte has an onstage persona that makes her an interesting and seductive performer. My very favorite song by her is "How I Could Kill a Man", which is a lyric from a Cyprus Hill song. That's pretty interesting if you think about it, because this songstress was able to take a classic rap song and make it into a melodic hit. "Killing" is supposed to be a metaphor, by the way, so don't worry!

What's Up With The Next Gen iPod Touch?

It's always fun to speculate, and there are rumors swirling around about the next generation of iPod touch. It is said that it will contain a built-in microphone and also a video camera. These seem like wonderful new innovations, and people are speculating that these rumors could potentially be true. Apple did not comment on the rumors, but we, as iPod touch fans, are hoping that they are correct.

The iPod touch will be updated later in the year, and if it does have a built-in microphone, then it will be so much easier to use any voice applications for the iPod touch. This would enable the device to be used as a WiFi mobile phone so that you could make any type of voice call directly over the Internet, giving similar communication capabilities as to what you would find with the iPhone. Right now, the iPod touch does enable the use of a microphone, but you do need to buy an extra accessory to get that set up. iPod touch users can keep their ears open in September because that is normally when Apple releases their updates. Regardless, it's always exciting to see what type of new technology surrounds both the iPod touch and the iPhone - we are fans!

Do iPods Help in Surgery?

This is a pretty interesting subject matter, but it seems that it helps to listen to your iPod during surgery. If you or someone you know has a surgery on the horizon, then you can reference this interesting story about a teen who used his iPod to get through brain surgery. This 18-year-old young man was getting a brain tumor removed, but he needed to be awake through the entire operation to ensure that there would be no brain damage in the process. I don't know about you, but that seems like a pretty scary idea to me!

These surgeons had the great idea to play his iPod over the operating room speakers so that he would be able to focus on music and relax during the procedure. This went very well for the young man, especially since it was the second time that he was having the surgery because the entire brain tumor was not taken out during the first surgery.

Regardless, for any of your needs, it pays to have pro iPod help to keep your device going strong, especially if you have an upcoming surgery. Milliamp.com is now BBB accredited, so check out the advanced repair services available through this website with BBB accreditation!

More Signature iPods From Apple?

Ever since the U2 special edition iPod came out, many other artists have been fighting to get their own signature iPod in the works. Can you blame them? The U2 special edition iPod was incredibly popular, and other recording artists could only be so lucky as to have another device bearing their name on the market. Some of the artists at the top of the list for the next signature iPod are Coldplay, Toby Keith, Metallica, and Hootie & the Blowfish.

These all seem to be pretty premium choices, especially since their popularity reaches a wide variety of listeners. Still, who knows how much truth there actually is to these rumors? However, with the example of U2 using their mega-popularity to gain even more popularity from their own signature iPod, it would only make sense that other artists would want to follow suit. I myself am thinking that these would sell really well, especially since fans love to have a little piece of their favorite artists to take around with them. If you are a huge Metallica fan, for example, then who wouldn't want an awesome iPod bearing their name for everyone to see? This gives you the opportunity to take your love of music that much further by displaying it on your iPod.

Celebrity Twitter On The iPhone

I love celebrities just as much as the next person, so when I joined Twitter, I decided it would be a great idea to follow a bunch of them. Twitter is really convenient, and I can always check on it via my iPhone, making it a fun little activity to keep tabs on people all over the world and what they are doing. Obviously, Twitter is popular for a reason, and so many celebrities have jumped on board because I always hear them promoting themselves to be followed on Twitter every time that they are interviewed.

One specific celebrity that I followed right off the bat was John Mayer, but I have to tell you that I was totally disappointed. Not only are most celebrity tweets very boring, but absolutely no celebrity will ever follow you back. I guess there is no way you should expect that from a celebrity because it is kind of like joining their fan club, and they really don't have the means to follow back all of their fans. Still, this lack of reciprocity got me pretty bored after a while. Maybe if specific celebrities like John Mayer had some amazing things to say other than what awards party they went to, then I would be more interested.

Hear New Elton John on Your iPod

I have been a long time Elton John fan, so I'm always on the lookout for his new musical endeavors. Of course, he has so many amazing classics that I would be hard-pressed to find anything that I didn't want to listen to, but I do love to hear his new stuff as well. I have to qualify that by saying that I was not a fan of The Lion King soundtrack in any way, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one because it was a children's movie. It wasn't necessarily supposed to be a chart topping wonderful album full of hits, so no big deal.

The latest news for Elton John is that he is guesting on Alice in Chains' new album in three different collaborations. They specifically sent him the track to request his presence, and he was on board because he loved the way it sounded. This may be something that you would have never expected, which is precisely why I want to download this awesome album to my iPod as soon as it's available. Anyone else who's thinking what I'm thinking can look forward to the September 29 release. Can't wait!

Mexican iTunes

I am sure that Mexico is as incredibly happy to finally get an iTunes store, and it seems like it is about time for our southern neighbors. iTunes just recently launched in Mexico, and they have millions of choices available for which tracks they would like to download, including many other smaller labels of independent musicians. The iTunes features available to Mexican users also do have some similarities of the iTunes that we know here in the US, like being able to purchase tracks in advance, and the feature Complete My Album.

Furthermore, they do even have The App Store because Apple did launch the iPhone 3G there about one year ago. It seems like Apple is so popular that they are going to be worldwide, and I am sure that Mexico is excited to have these latest advancements, especially since it does include popular Mexican artists. The only down side to this is that so far Mexican iTunes does not offer movies or TV shows, but it does have some choices in podcasts and music videos. The good part is that this Mexican iTunes does also offer some of the more popular Mexican shows, making it a great fit for our neighbors south of the border!

Old Lady Criminal

One interesting headline that I saw on my iPhone lately was that an 86 year old woman was arrested for the 61st time in her life - shocking! The most interesting part of all was that she was actually caught shoplifting an anti-wrinkle cream, which I am sure that she truly needed by that point in her life. I guess she is not your average grandma because she started out being arrested in the 50s because of stealing from grocery stores. This time, however, is not so fun because she is being held on a felony charge with a bond of $10,000.

Her method of madness was stuffing the items that she stole in her pants to complete the shoplifting expedition. Specifically, she was located in Chicago, and she also tried to take other things on this occasion, like batteries, salmon, makeup, and instant coffee, along with the anti-wrinkle cream. A few years ago she did serve some time in prison for all of her shoplifting issues, but apparently, she didn't learn her lesson because she got caught again for the same crime. I am thinking that her grandkids are probably not too happy to have to come up with this bail amount of $10,000 to get their grandma out of jail!

Diet Tips

It is always a great idea to make little tweaks to your diet, and I found these tips while checking out my iPhone today during lunch, of all times. That, of course, made me second-guess the roast beef sandwich that I was eating, but whatever. I figure that I can start on my health trek tomorrow to get my results, but I want to share these tips with you so that you can also benefit!

First, you can easily cut 100 calories a day from your diet by drinking nonfat milk instead of 1% milk. It's so simple! Another easy tweak to make is to only eat half a bagel instead of the whole thing, and save the rest for another day. Another simple way to skim the calories off the top of your diet is to use spices like nutmeg or cinnamon to flavor your coffee instead of cream and sugar. You would be surprised at how much that adds up! Finally, start using smaller dishes when you are eating and drinking. For instance, if you use a smaller juice glass as opposed to a taller one, then you are much less likely to drink more calories in your morning glass of juice. So easy!

Sponge Users Beware!

Watch out for your kitchen sponge! I read this little news blurb on my iPhone today when I was waiting for a meeting to start at work, and it turns out that your kitchen sponge is the number one bacteria holder in your house. Ew! And to think that I put my bare hands on it on a daily basis... Shocking. Clearly, your sponge is something that is totally neglected, especially since it is not as gross as a toilet seat or other areas, but it is full of germs.

What you need to do to get your sponge in better order is number one, buy a new one! But if you don't want to do that, you can clean your sponge simply by soaking it in bleach or lemon juice. However, these are not the best methods, so the very best way to get rid of these germs is to put your sponge in the microwave, and then in the dishwasher. This is pretty interesting because I never thought of this method to clean a sponge, but it will work to kill all the germs at an extremely high heat. Now you can safely clean your kitchen once again! You're welcome.

Today is Pedicure Day!

Getting a pedicure is truly one of the simpler pleasures in life, and today is that day for me! I decided to take my lunch break and reward myself for all of my hard work because you have to do that from time to time. My favorite little pedicure place is, of course, run by Asian men, which makes for an amazing pedicure, if you ask me. The person who did my pedicure last time is named "John", but he doesn't speak any English at all, so I doubt that was his real name...

Regardless, I get to take my sweet time and listen to some new songs on my iPod while I have my feet and legs rubbed and massaged. There is absolutely no better way to spend your afternoon, especially when you come out with some beautifully painted toenails, feeling more relaxed than you usually would sitting at your desk. Pedicures in general give me a little boost of self confidence because I get to look with pride at my flawless toenails for a few weeks until they start to chip. This is the time that I get all to myself where I make a point not to think about anything else, except how much I deserve it!

The Bachelor vs. Bachelorette

I can tell you that I strongly prefer The Bachelor to The Bachlorette, even though they are, in essence, the same show. Does that make any sense at all? The only difference is that in The Bachelor, it is an all-female cast fighting to win the attention of the man in question. For some reason, as a female, this is so much more interesting to me than watching a bunch of guys trying to get a chick. It is probably because an all girl cast makes for much better television, and guys are usually a lot more mellow and less emotional. This may be a strike for women in real life, but when you are looking for some trashy reality television, then it is much more preferable to watch many emotional women fight over one man.

Also, I feel that the men fighting for The Bachelorette are less believable because most men would not want to go on a public reality show to get a date. This makes me suspicious of the entire male cast and their motivation for being on TV, especially when they purposely try to act more emotional to make the show more viewer friendly. I'm just not buying it.

Faulty Traffic Light Discovered

Traffic is never fun, but there was a specific instance in Japan where a traffic light was faulty for almost 30 years without being discovered. The issue that this traffic light was having was that it was green in all directions of the intersection for a full 7 seconds, and this had been going on for several decades undetected. Apparently, it had operated with this glitch without causing any issues to any drivers, until recently.

One driver was exiting on one side of the light, while another driver was going straight, and they both had the right-of-way because the light was green. This led to a collision, which ended up with a lot of questions when police arrived to the scene. What were the police supposed to do when both drivers had a green light and the right-of-way? I guess neither of them had to be ticketed at the time since they were both in the right, but it led authorities to check out this light to finally catch on that it was going green for 7 seconds in all directions every time. It's pretty interesting to think of how long this went undetected, and how many more faulty light situations could currently be going on in traffic today.

Marc Anthony Buys NFL Team?

I am thinking that maybe Marc Anthony is not busy enough with J. Lo and the twins because he decided to invest his big stash of cash from being a famous musician in becoming a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins NFL team. Since I used to live in Miami, I definitely am a fan of the Dolphins, not to mention that is an area with a bunch of Latin flavor, which is probably why Marc Anthony chose that team to purchase shares in. The other famous owner that is a part owner of the team is Gloria Estefan, so it looks like he is in good company with powerful Latin singers in that category.

This was a headline that I saw on my iPhone on the way to work, which totally floored me because Marc Anthony never took me for a person that was a huge football fan. Not to be biased, but he seems to be the skinny metrosexual type and not necessarily the man's man football fan who wants to spend his money investing in an NFL team. That is not too shabby for the Dolphins because, of course, it will garner them support from a whole new demographic - Marc Anthony fans!

World's Oldest Man Dies

Wow. That is pretty much all that I have to say about the world's oldest man dying, but he did die at the age of 113, which is entirely impressive. He was a World War I veteran, so obviously, he had seen it all in his lifetime. I can't imagine living that long, though it is a wonderful aspiration, but it boggles my mind to think of how the world has changed in his lifetime.

Was he able to get used to the age of cell phones, iPods, and even the iPhone? It would be overwhelming and amazing to see the ups and downs of the world over 113 years, and I'm sure that he was happy to see the 21st century before he died. He did spend a lot of his life speaking about his time in World War I, which is fantastic because it makes him a living history book that gives a unique insight that can't be found anywhere else from a real live person who experienced World War I. Honestly, he didn't look too bad in his pictures, which is totally impressive for making it into the Guinness Book of World Records after turning 113. Good for him!
